Role Overview

The Data Cloud Architect designs and delivers scalable Salesforce solutions that drive digital transformation. This role is key in pre-sales, project execution, technical leadership, and innovation, while also mentoring and building technical expertise within the consulting practice.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Trusted Advisor

  • Act as a Salesforce Data Cloud subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance to clients and internal teams on use cases as well as technology 
  • Drive internal initiatives to expand the consulting practice with cutting-edge Salesforce solutions for various industries.
  • Generate thought leadership content that positions our firm at the forefront of data-driven marketing and sales
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, developing best practices and accelerators to enhance solution delivery.
  • Mentor and coach consultants, developers, and junior solution architects to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies, ensuring clients benefit from the latest Salesforce innovations.

2. Pre-Sales Scoping & Solution Design

  • Partner with sales teams to support business development with deep subject matter expertise and precise project estimates.
  • Lead discovery sessions to assess client needs, advise them on best practices and use cases, and architect Salesforce-driven solutions tailored to industry-specific challenges.
  • Define and document solution architecture, use cases, and cost / feasibility analyses.
  • Develop and present strategic roadmaps and implementation frameworks to ensure long-term client success.

3. Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead technical design and architecture for Salesforce implementations, ensuring scalability, performance, and best practices.
  • Create business value metrics, goals and ensure alignment throughout project lifecycle 
  • Facilitate solution design workshops and oversee technical execution
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected, impactful solutions leveraging Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and partners to ensure seamless implementations.
  • Manage technical scope and client expectations, ensuring alignment between technology solutions and business objectives.
  • Develop high-level documentation and solution diagrams to support architectural decisions.

4. Innovation & Accelerator Development

  • Build reusable accelerators and frameworks to enhance efficiency and streamline implementations.
  • Stay ahead of Salesforce product releases and technological advancements, incorporating them into solution strategies.
  • Drive go-to-market strategies by aligning solutions with industry trends and client needs.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years delivering CDP solutions in retail or financial services
  • 2+ years designing solutions and/or developing Salesforce applications.
  • 3+ years in technology consulting, serving as a client-facing Solution Architect.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce Data Cloud and interfaces with Commerce, POS, OMS, Marketing, Loyalty and CRM (or) in Salesforce Data Cloud and interfaces with Core Banking, Loan Origination, Digital Banking, CRM, Marketing and Loyalty
  • Strong expertise in data architecture and use-case driven cost & feasibility analysis
  • Experience with consumption based SaaS products
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud with adequate knowledge of data warehouses and integration platforms
  • Certified as a Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant
  • Proven ability to lead technical requirements gathering, solution design, and enterprise system architecture.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and leading technical project teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging at both product and executive levels.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce-compatible third-party solutions relevant to different industries (e.g., retail e-commerce, financial services automation, hospitality loyalty programs, and high-tech sales processes).
