Sr. CRM Developer
I. Role Overview
The Salesforce Developer is a hands-on build role in A360's Managed Services practice, focused on insurance and financial services clients. This person delivers both declarative and custom solutions across Flow, Apex, and Lightning Web Components, tests their own work including regression testing, and uses AI agents and skills to accelerate development inside Salesforce. They work closely with the Technical Lead, Consultants, and the PC/BA/QA team throughout the life of an engagement.
II. About You
You understand financial services, particularly insurance, and you know when a request calls for declarative configuration versus custom development. You have a testing mindset, including regression testing, and you take pride in shipping work that doesn't break what already exists. You use agents and skills as part of how you work, and you verify what they produce. You're comfortable looping in the Technical Lead when a build gets complex, and you do well in collaborative, knowledge-sharing teams.
What success looks like
- Clean, on-time delivery of assigned builds with low rework
- Reliable regression coverage, so releases don't break existing functionality
- Sound declarative-versus-custom design choices for insurance and financial services workflows
- Effective use of AI to shorten build and test cycles without sacrificing quality
Required qualifications
Technical expertise
- Working knowledge of financial services, particularly insurance (for example policy administration, claims, underwriting, or agency and broker processes)
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development, including custom work in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other advanced platform features
- Strong declarative skills: Flow, validation rules, permission and security model, and data model design
- Background in software testing, including regression testing, with the ability to build test coverage for your own work
- Hands-on experience with real-time Salesforce deployments is required. Familiarity with Gearset is an added advantage.
- Should have experience working in an Agile environment and be familiar with sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
Certifications & education
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PD1) is required
- Claude Foundations Architect (highly recommended)
- Platform Developer II (optional)
Specialized knowledge
- Experience using agents and skills to augment development inside Salesforce, including checking their output before it ships
- Judgment on when a request needs custom development versus declarative configuration, and when to loop in the Technical Lead for validation on complex builds
- Preferred: Financial Services Cloud or insurance data model experience, test automation tools for Salesforce, and integration experience (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware)
Soft skills & experience
- Clear written and verbal communication, including short technical write-ups for the Technical Lead
- Proven ability to work in collaborative teams that drive knowledge sharing
- Experience with professional consulting or managed services organizations preferred
- Availability to work US Eastern Standard Time hours
Growth Path
Developers progress from Developer to Developer II to Senior Developer. Developers who show strong client-facing aptitude can opt in to the Consultant (technical track) branch and carry their technical seniority with them.
